24/6-07 - Tour blog added, Cynic plays new song!
Today I added a tour blog. Be sure to check it out recently. At the Hellfest concert yesterday, Cynic performed a new song called 'Evolutionary Sleeper'! This is the first new material from Cynic in 14 years!

17/5-07 - CYNIC live performance [Message from Paul]
Since many fans seemed worried about the outcome for Cynic without having Tony live, I mailed some questions to Paul and I got this answer:

"Financially it wasn't feasible for Tony to join us on the road and therefore we couldn't bring him along, so we've made the best out of the situation and it's worked out well. We're using a 'Virtual Tony' computer streaming and it sounds really cool. We wanted it to sound as close to the album as possible.

One of the concerns was giving Tony something to do when he wasn't singing brutals (which would have been 60-70% of the set) and now we can just be a four-piece with brutals coming from the ethers. It's pretty mysterious and interesting, and takes us further into experimental fusion metal band. With guitar synths, Mavis and I can cover all the keyboard stuff and really tighten things up. We could have tried doing brutals ourselves but it wouldn't have done 'Focus' justice. If one of us could growl like that, we would have. It takes a unique kind of a vocal cord! We're all about re-creating the 'Focus' experience and now it's more accurate than ever. Mavis does an excellent quiet John Tardy!"

31/5-07 - New date for Uroboric-competition added!
We have added a new date for the Reunion competition, Paris (Le Nouveau Casino) is the new key city! Be sure to contribute with your audition in time! Deadline is June 15th.

23/5-07 - Growl with Cynic
A Cynic Reunion Competition has been added, more updates are to be made soon and much more frequently than before. So stay tooned!

17/4-07 - Tony Teegarden no longer part of Cynic Reunion!
Tony announced on his blog that he's removed himself from the Cynic Tour.

18/4-07 - Cynic secures new touring guitarist!
Cynic is now complete again, David 'Mavis' Senescu is the name of the man who will take Santiago's place. Quoted from Paul:

"...the fact that I gave him my last demo copy on tour with Death, means there was a connection for me and fully explains why we're working with him now, I must of known on some level. Mavis is precise and focused, which is exactly what Cynic needs". Read more and discuss here!

"Matter of  fact i'm looking for a full bodies Steinberger for live shows. My 7 string ESP is too bulky for me live. I'm bidding on ebay but haven't gotten anything concrete yet. If anyone has one they are looking to sell here in the states let me know!"
